the start of series 2 of Girls. We missed series 1 when it aired and have recently caught up on it,  watching dvds from the library. It's fantastic - well written, funny and close to the mark.

Lola Bensky by Lily Brett. My favourite by her is "You Gotta Have Balls" and while this is not as good as that, I enjoyed it. It ticked all the 'holiday read' boxes for me - quick, entertaining and easily picked up after a break.

excited...

to have won the ridiculously generous summer giveaway at Che and Fidel. Some really beautiful products that I will love to keep and some that I will love to give away to friends (with babies smaller than mine).

of people coping with bushfires, of friends coping with tricky pregnancies and friends hoping for pregnancies, of people juggling children and work during holidays and remembering how lucky I am to have this lot.
