update

Outdoors we are giving the garden a midsummer prune and collecting seeds from spent flowers; planning the next planting in the small vegetable bed and harvesting gorgeous tomatoes from the large.

Indoors we are making tents in the lounge, playing board games, reading aloud and watching a bit of tennis while mostly staying in air conditioned comfort. Kitchen offerings continue to improve with time spent buying lovely fresh food and then preparing it for dinners.

Beyond the boundaries of number 55 we are swimming, catching up with friends and walking for miles along the river (dog ownership has revived hour long walks for me, rides for the kids).
