spending the big bucks


It seems that Gina Rinehart made 20 billion dollars last week. Yesterday *The Hoopla asked readers what they would do with that much money. Seriously - that is a ridiculous amount of money. I can't even begin to fathom such an amount - I know I would be ecstatic to pay the mortgage off and that would be loose change for Gina.

However, I am thinking that if I had 20 dollars I would love a Tala Dry Measure to help with baking. I am a sucker for a ready reckoner and all those lines and grids make me happy. Over the years I have seen them in op shops but as lovely as the vintage ones are I do think that the dents and dings may impact on the accuracy somewhat. It may be time to buy myself one.

  1. I saw one of those measuring gadgets at Tom Madigan's ( he's a top cook) & thought how good are they; Tom swears by it. I thought "I've gotta get one." - but I don't do enough cooking to get much use out of it.
